Pacific Poker has a four part approach to deal with fraud and any other illegal activities on their website.
(i) Collusion: Collusion occurs when two or
more players at a poker table attempt to gain an unfair advantage by sharing
knowledge of their cards or other information.
Pacific Poker takes Collusion
very seriously. If any player who colludes or
attempts to collude with any other player while using their Website may be
permanently banned from using the Service or the Software or any other related
services of the Company and their account may be terminated immediately.
Pacific
Poker uses sophisticated proprietary technology intended to seek out
and identify players acting in collusion.
Pacific Poker also encourages players
to report any suspected collusive behaviors. If the they is informed during play
about suspected collusive behavior, Pacific Poker may, in its sole discretion,
terminate suspected players' access to the Service and/or block their accounts.
(ii) Illegal Funds and Unlawful Activities:
Pacific Poker don't want the players to use their site with illegal funds or use
the
Pacific Poker system as a means to transfer money. Players are asked to
follow their local laws and the laws of Gibraltar where
Pacific Poker is based.
The Company does have a policy where if a player is engaged in fraudulent,
unlawful or improper activity, including, without limitation, money laundering
activities, or conduct otherwise in violation of this Agreement, his/her access
to the Service may be terminated immediately and/or the account blocked.
When a players account is terminated or blocked
in such circumstances,
Pacific Poker may issue a refund to the player of any
funds that may be in his/her account.
Pacific Poker may also prevent the player
from accessing any of the their other websites or servers, or accessing any
other services offered by the Company.
Pacific Poker might also inform the
relevant authorities, other online service providers and banks, credit card
companies, electronic payment providers or other financial institutions
(together "Interested Third Parties") of the player's identity and of any
suspected unlawful, fraudulent or improper activity.
(iii) Circumvention:
Pacific Poker uses
sophisticated proprietary technology intended to seek out and identify users
making fraudulent or unlawful use of the Service or Software. If a player, in the
PacifiPoker.com's sole discretion, is in breach of their system's security,
Pacific Poker may terminate the access to the Service
immediately and/or have the player's account blocked.
(iv) Artificial Intelligence - Robots or
Pokerbots as they are also known are
not allowed to be used. Pacific Poker constantly review the use of the Service in order to detect the use
of AI Software. Pacific Poker reserves the
right to take any action we see fit, if suspected activity is detected. These
steps include blocking access to
the Service to the offending user, terminating such user's account and seizing
all monies held in such account.
